The 2008 Lifeboat Red Wine is a Grenache-Syrah-Petite Sirah blend. Harvested from 2 vineyards, one in Sonoma and one in Napa Valley. It was aged in barrel for 2 1/2 years. The wine is named in honor of Tallulah Bankhead's most famous movie, Lifeboat. Lifeboat was filmed in 1944. Written by John Steinbeck, directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and starred Tallulah Bankhead. She was paid close to $100,000 to star in it. 61 cases made. The blend is 70% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 5% Petite Sirah.
